Casio Privia PX-S7000 Digital Piano
Despite its premium design, the piano itself weighs only 14.8kg and can be easily detached from the stand by removing four quick-release bolts, making it ideal for musicians who need portability. It can even be powered by eight AA batteries, making it one of the highest-spec fully mobile digital pianos currently available.
The PX-S7000 features piano voices from Casio’s renowned Grand Hybrid range, including the Berlin, Hamburg, and New York concert grand pianos. Each core piano voice is available in mellow, medium, and bright tonal variations to suit different musical styles, while adjustable string and damper resonance allows players to fine-tune the sound to their personal taste.
A newly developed hybrid key action incorporates natural wood inserts to enhance the connection between player and sound, alongside redesigned textured keytops that deliver a more authentic acoustic piano feel.
Casio introduces a new touch-panel interface on the PX-S7000, featuring an LCD screen and touch jog wheel. This intuitive system provides access to over 400 onboard tones, including electric pianos, synths, organs, orchestral sounds, and more. The live controls are complemented by stylish LED lighting effects, along with a dedicated pitch-bend wheel for expressive performance.
Hit Piano Sounds
Casio has also introduced an exciting new feature called Hit Pianos. These sounds have been created by Casio’s development musicians to closely replicate the piano sounds used in popular songs from the past few decades. The Hit Pianos collection includes acoustic pianos, electric pianos, and clav sounds.
To access Hit Pianos, simply press the Piano button to the right of the screen and use the jog wheel to scroll through the selection. You’ll find specific piano voices ideal for playing iconic songs such as Imagine by John Lennon, Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen, Superstition by Stevie Wonder, as well as hits by Billy Joel, Whitney Houston, Vanessa Carlton, and many more.
The PX-S7000 also allows you to split or layer two voices across the keyboard, giving you even greater flexibility and creative sound combinations.
Speaker System
The PX-S7000 is equipped with a new four-speaker surround sound system designed to deliver an immersive listening experience. Whether the piano is placed against a wall or positioned in the centre of a room, speaker directivity and EQ settings can be adjusted to suit its location, ensuring optimal sound quality wherever it is placed in your home.
Bluetooth
The PX-S7000 is supplied with Casio’s WU-BT10 Bluetooth adaptor, providing both Bluetooth audio and MIDI connectivity. This allows you to stream music wirelessly from your device through the piano’s surround sound system or connect with a wide range of third-party music apps.
Bluetooth connectivity can also be used with Casio’s own Music Space app, enabling intuitive control of the piano’s functions directly from your smartphone or tablet via a touchscreen interface.
A Digital Piano with Premium Features
Overall, the PX-S7000 is a piano that combines premium features with a sleek, contemporary design, making it a perfect addition to a modern living room or even a child’s bedroom. A range of bundle options is also available, including various headphone and piano stool combinations.
